
Today, the PML-N will elect central office-bearers

ISLAMABAD: According to ARY News, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal, a session of the party’s central general council has been convened on Friday (today) to elect central office-bearers.
According to a statement issued by Ahsan Iqbal, the PML-N central general council will meet at 2:30 p.m. on Friday and will be attended by members from Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and Islamabad.
The core parliamentary party and senators will also attend the session.
The development happened after the PML-N announced that intra-party elections will be held on Friday (tomorrow).

According Pakistani sources, Nawaz Sharif is anticipated to keep his position as lifelong supremo of his political party. It was learned that the former premier would consider returning to Pakistan following the intra-party elections.
It seems possible that a petition will be launched to challenge Nawaz Sharif’s lifetime disqualification.
In another move today, the PML-N decided to activate its minority wing, and Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz formed a six-member team.
Former Punjab Provincial Assembly (MPA) member Raheela Khadim Hussain has been chosen as the Punjab Minority Committee’s coordinator. Ramesh Singh Arora, Kamran Bhatti, Babu Leela Ram, and Robina Feroz are among the members.
The committee was entrusted with completing the minority wing’s organisational framework in three weeks.
