In the £190 million NCA scam, NAB summons Bushra Bibi
In connection with the National Crime Agency (NCA)’s £190 million scandal, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has once more called former first lady Bushra Bibi, according to ARY News on Monday.Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, will be called before the accountability watchdog tomorrow, Tuesday, June 13.In order to serve the summons notice, a two-person NAB team travelled to the former first lady’s Zaman Park home.NAB warning in the £190 million NCA scandal:
Bushra Bibi’s responseThe notification stated that on June 1st and 2nd, the wife of the PTI leader was also called. It continued, requesting that she appear with a male family member, saying that “Bushra Bibi has not participated in the investigation despite numerous summons.Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has had his judicial remand extended by the Lahore anti-terrorism court (ATC) for an additional 14 days in connection with a case involving the May 9 riots, according to ARY News on Tuesday.
The former minister for Punjab was brought before the Lahore anti-terrorism court’s single-member panel.After hearing the arguments, the judge prolonged Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed’s detention and gave police till June 27 to bring the PTI leader before the court.Mehmood-ur-Rasheed is given a two-day physical remand by the Lahore ATC.It is important to note that on May 9, when the former prime minister and leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was taken into custody on the grounds of the Islamabad High Court (IHC), violent confrontations spread throughout Pakistan.
