Shah, Navin Paris-bound to represent Pakistan
Shah, Navin In an impressive display of skill and passion, the Red Bull BC One Cypher Pakistan 2023 grand final opened at the prestigious Karachi Arts Council. The stage caught fire as the 20 finalists, including 16 B-Boys and 4 B-Girls, did their best. The crowd eagerly awaits the crowning of the new national champion who will represent Pakistan in the world finals. Little did they know that this edition would witness the rise of two exceptional talents: B-Boy Navin and B-Girl Shah the national champion of Pakistan.
B-Boy Navin, represented by the Evolution Xtreme Dancers (EXD) and the Anarchy crew, has been dancing since he was 12, inspired by the popular movie Step Up. Dedication and relentless training have brought him to this point, and this issue of Cypher is special to him in many ways.
“This edition was very special because I came very well trained,” recalls B-Boy Navin. “In the last edition, I was more involved in organizing the event. This year, I ditched that and focused solely on my training. It was better than last year because we had the advantage of two workshops with B-Boy Neguin, where we learned a lot.
All the editions are top notch and very well done. “The change in preparation can be seen from B-Boy Navin’s appearance. “I trained for 210 days, gave myself some rest. Then I spent the rest of the days focusing on cardio to lose weight to be completely race-ready at the event.” As fate would have it, B-Boy Navin’s journey in the first issue ended prematurely.
