The Foreign Ministry has described as “malicious” and “grossly irresponsible” attempts by a section of the Indian media to present Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s remarks on the upcoming G-20 meeting in India’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). a threat of violence.
“This is an attempt to divert attention from the foreign minister’s main message about resolving conflicts through dialogue and in accordance with international law and UN Security Council (UNSC) resolutions,” a foreign ministry spokesman said in a statement.
The statement was released on Sunday in response to Indian media propaganda that Pakistan’s foreign minister had threatened India over the G-20 meeting at IIOJK.
A clip recently went viral on social media about the foreign minister who recently went to the Indian state of Goa to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Council of Foreign Ministers (SCO-CFM).

He said that India will soon realize that “they will not be able to achieve 110% attendance because other people will not compromise their morals”. A section of the Indian media started presenting this statement as a threat from Pakistan.
Rejecting these insinuations, the foreign minister said in several public statements during his recent visit to India that the foreign minister emphasized the importance of important UNSC resolutions for a peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
“It is clear that he is basing his case on international law,” it said. The representative said journalistic standards must be respected when reporting on sensitive cross-border issues. Some Indian media distorted the foreign minister’s statement during his recent visit to India.
According to the representative, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in its press release on April 11 has already formulated the position of Pakistan at the G-20 Tourism Working Group meeting in the IIOJK.
Pakistan has already expressed strong displeasure over India’s decision to hold the G-20 Tourism Working Group meeting in Srinagar on May 22-24.
