ISLAMABAD: During fiscal year 2022–2023, Pakistan’s trade in goods and services with Italy saw a 97.11% increase from the previous year. The trade surplus increased by 97.11% to $624.518 million in FY23 from $316.995 million in FY22.

According to figures from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), total exports to Italy were $1,151.448 million in July-June FY23 compared to $1,087.434 million in July-June FY22, representing a 5.88% increase. Exports to Italy declined 18.57% year over year, from $121.101 million in June 2022 to $98.601 million in June 2023.

Additionally, export shipments to Italy decreased 2.76% month over month in June 2023 compared to exports of $101,4 Exports from Pakistan to all nations decreased overall during the reviewed year, falling 14.09% to $27.911 billion from $32.492 billion in FY22.
