ISLAMABAD:Friday, civilian and military leaders were informed that Pakistan’s economy is in trouble, but the country is not making progress.This is the gist of a briefing conducted at the National Security Committee (NSC), the main forum on national security and foreign policy issues. Here, the powerful NSC met to discuss the growth of terrorism, the weak economy and relations with Afghanistan.

The INC has a different take on the current state of the economy. The civil-military chief has been warned about the economy because of fears that Pakistan could default. Foreign reserves fell to $5.8 billion this week, raising concerns about inflation.”We are in trouble, but we will not accept default,” said one attendee of the NSC meeting. Attendees confirmed that the NSC has received briefings on terrorism, the economy and Afghanistan.

It was the first meeting of the NSC after the transfer of military command and came at a time when Pakistan was facing a number of challenges including dwindling national reserves. and the rise of the Three-e-Taliban Pakistan (TSP).

A statement issued after the meeting said that the NSC had an important meeting on Friday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Sharif.The meeting was attended by government ministers, heads of services and heads of intelligence agencies.

The meeting looked at the country’s economy and law and order

Finance Minister informed the participants about the country’s economic situation and challenges and told the participants about the economic strategy and measures taken by the government.The intelligence agencies spoke about the entire law and order of the country and told the gathering about the issues related to the wave of terrorism and the measures to deal with them.

Foreign Minister Nina Rabbinic addressed the meeting on the situation in Afghanistan and discussed Pakistan’s relationship with the Afghan government.
