
Imran asks Islamabad to defeat ‘cabal of crooks’ in LG polls

Former Prime Minister and PIT Chairman Trimaran Khan welcomed the Islamabad High Court (CHI) verdict overturning the Electoral Commission of Pakistan (EXP) decision to postpone local elections in the federal capitalistic Judge Muhammad on Friday overturned the ESP’s decision and instructed the supervisory body to hold elections for 101 trade union councils in the federal capital on the scheduled date of December 31 (tomorrow).
Reacting to the court’s verdict, Iran congratulated the people, saying that after the decision of the WIS, the residents of the federal capital will be able to elect their local self-government, and expressed the hope that his political opponents will be defeated in the elections.
“Unfortunately, a cabal of fraudsters is establishing itself in the country, and the electoral commission is working hand in hand with them [the PM government] and [the ESP] always giving a verdict against democracy,” he added.Iran said that the current leaders are afraid of the elections because they want to “maintain power in the country”.

I invite you to fully participate in tomorrow’s municipal elections,” he added.The EXP on Tuesday postponed local body elections scheduled for December 31 in the federal capital on the grounds that the number of union councils was increasing in line with population growth.At the request of the federation, the ECU canceled the schedule for the LB election and postponed it, saying that a detailed decision would be issued later.
