Unexpectedly, a 57-year-old woman passed away while trekking in the scorching heat of Grand Canyon National Park.

The terrible occurrence took place in the US, where the woman set out on an eight-mile walk in well-above-100-degree heat.

The woman was originally declared unconscious but died shortly after, apparently from a heart attack.On July 1, at least 13 people reportedly died in Texas heatwave in southern United States, international media reported citing officials.

Earlier, Grand Canyon National Park officials had issued a heat advisory. The trail’s exposed areas may get hotter over 120 degrees in the summer even in the shade.
