Under the new policy, all flights from Afghanistan entering Pakistani airspace must be notified 15 minutes in advance.
According to the CAA, air services in Pakistani airspace will be notified in advance. The service will be extended through Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad Area Control centres.
Furthermore, the airlines will receive air traffic services between Dushanbe and Islamabad Area Control Air Link, improving communication and coordination for airlines operating in the region.
The CAA has issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) explaining these changes and encouraging all airlines and operators to comply with the new procedures. This report will run until November 2023.
The plans are aimed at improving air traffic and safety in the region, a CAA spokesperson said.
