
President Arif Alvi’s constitutional tenure ends today

Dr. Arif Alvi was selected as president on September 9, 2018, in accordance with the rules. Up to the appointment of a new president, President Alvi will remain in office.
Following his formal visit to Lahore, President Alvi has returned to Islamabad to do his regular presidential duties.
It is significant that President Alvi regularly met with former Federal Minister Muhammad Ali Durrani.In this regard, former minister Fawad Chaudhry made the following comment in a post on X [previously known as Twitter]: “President Arif Alvi has completed five years in office and has maintained the office’s respect and dignity despite adversity.”
According to the details, Dr. Arif Alvi was democratically elected and took over the presidential office on September 9, 2018. President Alvi will continue to perform his presidential duties until a new president is elected.
President Alvi, after completing his official visit to Lahore, has returned to Islamabad to perform the routine duties associated with the presidency.
It’s noteworthy that former Federal Minister Muhammad Ali Durrani had an extensive meeting with President Alvi.
