KARACHI: The United Nationalist Movement of Pakistan (MOM-P) has made major decisions regarding the general election, citing sources, ARY News reported on Friday.

Sources told ARY News that MQM leaders decided not to back down from their stance on the demarcation of new borders and revised voter lists for the general elections.

The MQM delegation on Tuesday met with Acting Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar at the Governor’s House.

The MQM-P delegation includes Farooq Sattar, Amin-ul-Haq, Khawaja Izhar Al-Hasan and Jawed Hanif. The meeting was also attended by Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori.

Members of the delegation congratulated the Prime Minister on his inauguration and wished him success.

The MQM delegation drew the Prime Minister’s attention to the demarcation issues in Karachi as well as the water scarcity.

The MQM-P leaders demanded the completion of the border demarcation process as soon as possible. He also urged the MQM-P leaders to appoint neutral officials in the Electoral Commission, bureaucracy and other government departments.

Acting Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar assured that the government will use all possible resources to address the problems faced by the citizens of Karachi.
