Kakar sees SIFC as engine of prosperity

ISLAMABAD: Acting Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar said on Wednesday that the recently formed Special Investment Promotion Council (SIFC) will continue to work as before to lay the groundwork for accelerated foreign investment, especially from Saudi Arabia.
In a meeting with Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy, who invited him, the Prime Minister highlighted energy, infrastructure, agriculture, IT and labor as possible areas of cooperation.
The Saudi Ambassador congratulated the Prime Minister on his assumption of office and conveyed his best wishes and greetings on behalf of the Custodians of the Two Holy Mosques, Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman and the people of Saudi Arabia.
Prime Minister Kakar welcomed the vision of the Saudi leadership and said that Saudi Arabia can always count on Pakistan as a reliable and trustworthy partner. Ambassador Nawaf said that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan share a brotherly relationship characterized by mutual trust, understanding and close cooperation on bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
