General Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), has encouraged the country to resist pessimism and the fear-mongering propaganda of doubters and doomsayers who are making a “failed attempt to foment despair and hopelessness.”

The army chief added, “The great country and the nation have withstood many such challenges during its creation and thereafter.” He was speaking during the Azadi Parade at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) in Kakul.

I want to congratulate you all on reaching 76 years of independence and on commemorating the 14th of August at Pakistan Military Academy in the grand tradition of an impeccable and motivational parade, the army chief stated at the outset of his speech. He said that Pakistan is going through a pivotal period that is full with problems, geopolitical intrigue, growing power struggles, hegemonism, and jingoism.

According to Gen. Munir, Pakistan has managed to endure the diabolical plans of the adversarial forces, which include forces of instability and disorder seeking to topple Pakistan.

“Let me warn them all by quoting our great Quaid: ‘There is no power on earth, which can dismantle Pakistan’ – inshaAllah. We have battled against both our internal and external adversaries for a long time, and we will continue to do so as long as is necessary. We have the will, aptitude, and competence to overcome all problems, whether they are internal or foreign, as I have mentioned on several occasions, he said.

The head of the army promised the populace that the armed forces will never back down from making any sacrifices to protect our national independence and territorial integrity.

“Wherever necessary, we will contribute to Pakistan’s overall national security and national development endeavors. As a national force, the Pakistan force is proud of its steadfast dedication to the Pakistani people.

“Attempts to drive a wedge between the army and the nation are reprehensible, and they will never succeed,” he continued.

Over 240 million people live in Pakistan, a lively country, the majority of them are ambitious and diligent young people, according to him.
