Prince William and his adorable children cut the ribbon on a new
On Monday, Prince William, King Charles III’s eldest son, looked to have Kate Middleton’s way with youngsters when he unveiled a new café and atrium at the Duchy of Cornwall’s nursery with charming twins.
The Prince of Wales cut the ribbon on the new restaurant with the help of two adorable twins. He was beaming and upbeat at the formal launch of the Duchy of Cornwall nursery restaurant in Lostwithiel.
The images from the event were posted to the Prince and Princess of Wales’ Instagram account, with the caption: “A great afternoon hearing how local sustainable produce is being used at the new @duchynursery restaurant.”
“The Orangery, and great to see packaging from our friends at @notpla here as well!” they added.
It’s hard to believe this was once a slate quarry, but it’s now home to a bumblebee conservation garden and a glasshouse conservatory where everyone can enjoy horticulture.”
The restaurant, which is apparently part of a nine-month expansion project, will feature a seasonal cuisine with fresh vegetables from the gardens. Local rumps of lamb, ‘Duchy Eggs Royale,’ and a traditional afternoon tea are available.
“We are a big employer in the area and are incredibly supported by our local community,” she continued, “and if you ask anyone in Lostwithiel, they will tell you how proud they are of the nursery and its connection to the royal family.”
‘It’s worked out brilliantly,’ said the future king to his crew. It’s really great’.
‘This addition has been several years in the making, and it’s been under construction for nine months,’ said Claire Vickers, the nursery’s marketing manager.
The manager also emphasised King Charles’s significant involvement in the building’s architectural plans, stating, “The 24th duke, who is now His Majesty, was very much involved in the designs of the building, and it is very meaningful to have his son, the 25th duke, to visit us on this momentous occasion.”
