On Monday, King Charles III had tea with US President Joe Biden at Windsor Castle, despite a visa dispute involving Prince Harry.

The new King of the United Kingdom and the President of the United States met for the first time since the coronation to address some critical topics.

The encounter took place amid speculations that Harry might be deported from the United States due to his admission to taking narcotics. Americans are asking that the US authorities provide the contents of King Charles III’s son Harry’s visa application.

In their first encounter since the monarch’s coronation, Biden and Charles inspected an honorary guard at Windsor Castle, which included hundreds of uniformed troops and the military band.

The band performed “God Save the King” at the arrival of the King, then “The Star-Spangled Banner” with the arrival of the President of the United States.

Biden’s visit to Windsor Castle was his second since assuming office; in June 2021, he saw the King’s mother, Queen Elizabeth II, at her house just outside London.

This most recent meeting with Charles was widely monitored to see how the King blends his usually apolitical stance with a subject he is enthusiastic about that has become a trademark focus.

There are rumours that the two leaders would also address the unhappy royal Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, who are busy building their new empire in the United States after leaving the royal life in the United Kingdom.

Climate change, according to Biden, is “the existential threat to human existence as we know it.” The meeting was also monitored intently to see how the two men interacted.

The US president placed his hand on the 74-year-old monarch’s back at one point, which was hailed as a “wonderful symbol of warmth and affection” by a royal source who spoke to CNN, disputing that the president’s behaviour violated protocol.

“[His Majesty the King is] entirely comfortable with that kind of contact – and what a wonderful symbol of warmth and affection it was between both the individuals and their nations!” according to the source.
