KARACHI: Sindh police carried out a raid following a tip-off operation and were able to capture a four-person rikshaw gang that had been responsible for a string of robberies in Karachi, according to ARY News.

The culprits, Zahoor, Aslam, Nauman, and Shahzad, were apprehended with the use of CCTV video, according to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Zubair Nazir Sheikh.

The arrested suspects admitted to participating in 25 robberies throughout the course of the inquiry, and CCTV evidence also shows the individuals committing crimes. During the investigation, it was also revealed that the gang consists of a total of ten criminals, which indicates that a larger criminal network is operating in the city. The suspects allegedly got weapons from a fugitive accomplice named Jaam Zahoor, who is still at large.

The police also seized four pistols and a motorcycle from the possession of the accused robbers, meanwhile, further investigations are underway to capture the remaining members of the gang. According to Superintendent of Police (SSP) Zubair Nazir Sheikh, the suspects identified as Zahoor, Aslam, Nauman and Shahzad were arrested with the help of CCTV footage. During the investigation, the arrested suspects admitted to participating in 25 robberies, while the CCTV footage shows the suspects committing crimes.
