LHC reserves decision on Imran

The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday reserved its decision on the appeal of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan seeking guidance in the affected areas for not taking coercive measures and proceeding with FIR 121 registered against him.

Sardar asserted that there was not a single decision on political abuses since 1974, adding that “there is no precedent for what is happening around us now”. He then asked the court to issue an order related to political abuse following the prevailing situation. He asked the court that the former prime minister should be about 71 years old but there is a criminal case against him.

The law enforcement officer stated the argument of the lawyer, that all the documents related to the case have been given to the plaintiff. He said that Imran had filed a petition in the Supreme Court (SC) seeking the formation of a judicial commission on riots on May 9 and also asked the high court to stay his trial. He then questioned how Imran can file a similar petition in the LHC when one has already been filed in the country’s highest court.

In response, Judge Najafi asked the lawyer if he had filed a similar application in the high court. The petitioner’s lawyer bowed in response and then asked Judge Najafi, “Shouldn’t you have removed this petition from here? “Sardar then sought time on the bench to continue his victory in detail. After getting permission from the bench, he asked the police how it was possible to register so many cases against Imran when he was in the custody of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

On the other hand, PTI chief Justice Anwaarul Haq Pannun asked the counsel whether the petitioner was granted bail in the case registered after May 9.Also Read: Marriyum mocks Imran Khan as ‘jackal ‘As the lawyer screamed, Justice Pannun pointed out that “you should put your arguments, related to the evidence answered by the police, before the relevant court”.
