Clips show Maryam getting caught off guard

Some off-air video clips from Maryam Nawaz’s recent interview with a local television channel show that the chief organizer of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was taken aback when asked about her assets n ‘gifts of Toshakhana.
The footage of the ruling party leader’s conversation with anchor Mansour Ali Khan has not been released but was circulated on social media on Tuesday.
In these episodes, Maryam can be seen bewildered as she faces tough questions about her father, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who kept a luxury Mercedes from Toshakhana when he was prime minister in the 1990s.
Maryam initially expressed ignorance about the car, but when the interviewer backed up her claim with documents, the PML-N leader asked her to stop the recording and not broadcast that part of the interview.
In the censored video, the questioner stated that Nawaz bought a car, which he received as a gift from the Saudi crown prince, from Toshakhana in violation of Toshakhana rules.
In response, Maryam said keeping a gift from Toshakhana after paying the amount as per the policy of the center is not against the rules.
However, the organizer denied the allegations, saying that according to the law, it is not allowed to buy luxury cars in the gift store.
In another video, the host asked Maryam about her alleged BMW “which was gifted to her by a UAE family and the value of the car was declared as Rest 3.5 lakh in the financial year 2009-10”.
